Coronavirus and Mental Health

The current coronavirus epidemic is affecting our Mental Health in many ways; fear of the virus is causing anxiety, misinformation is creating uncertainty and self-isolation reduces social contact which is key to our mental wellbeing. We have compiled some key resources on the coronavirus, its effects on our Mental Health and advice for coping.

We highly recommend reading the latest WHO report on Mental Health and Psychosocial Considerations During COVID-19 Outbreak. It goes into considerable detail on how coronavirus affects our Mental Health and Wellbeing. The link may expire so we have saved a pdf which can be accessed at the top of the page.

The United Nations have released advice on the Coronavirus and our Mental Health.

For those with children, we appreciate that this epidemic must be a stressful time. The British Psychological Society has highlighted the importance of talking to children about coronavirus, and gives advice on how to do so.

We will continue to post further updates throughout the epidemic as they come available to us. For the most up to date information check our social media.
